Woodbury, Jeanne
Jeanne Woodbury (b. 1994) is a composer and ercussionist with a diverse musical background and eclectic influences. Her primary study has emphasized vibraphone and hand percussion performance, but her musical background includes classical percussion training, drumset, and piano. She performs regularly as a member of a local community percussion ensemble and several jazz combos, and has been featured as a soloist with these groups. Additionally she has performed as a guest with the Chandler-Gilbert Community College Big Band alongside such names as Eric Marienthal, Mike Kocour, and Dean Sorenson, and played percussion with the CGCC College Singers at the Arizona Music Educators Association Convention. Jeanne has been selected to participate in numerous local and national jazz and percussion camps including the Arizona State University Latin Jazz Camp and the University of Central Florida Mallet & Percussion Camp. She has been recognized as an outstanding performer at several AZPAS Days of Percussion and was chosen as a member of the inaugural AZPAS High School Honor Percussion Ensemble. Jeanne also plays percussion and drumset with her church worship team and enjoys writing poetry and blogging.
