Patrick Smith (b.1992) is a band director and percussionist in his fifth year of teaching. He is currently working at South Effingham Middle School in Guyton, Georgia as the head band director but served his previous four years in the Wayne County School System in Georgia. Patrick Smith's music has been performed by the University of Mississippi Wind Ensemble, Valdosta State University Wind Ensemble,Wayne County High School Wind Ensemble, and many others. He holds a Bachelors of Music in Music Education from Georgia Southern University and a Masters of Music in Music Education from the University of Mississippi. Patrick has taught band and music classes at the middle and high school level in his time as a director. He is an active member of the Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA), the National Association for Music Educators (NAfME), and ASCAP.
