From Skokie, Illinois, Jonah Sendlin (b. 2001) brings passion, excitement, and a story to all of his works. As a percussionist and electric bassist, he primarily writes for percussion ensemble and big band. However, his portfolio expands much greater, writing for symphonic bands and orchestras, musicals, video games, and more. In his Undergrad at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, Sendlin collaborated with the University’s Game Design department for three years scoring original soundtracks for video games of senior and master students’ Capstone projects. Sendlin premiered many compositions at Bradley and has premiered works at the Illinois Music Educators Conference, with the Heartland Festival Orchestra in Peoria, Illinois, and others.
