    Doug Rosener

    Dr. Doug Rosener (b. 1968) serves as Professor of Percussion and Associate Director of Bands at Auburn University. In addition to teaching the applied percussion studio, Dr. Rosener teaches courses in percussion literature, percussion skills, and Finale techniques, and directs the Auburn University Percussion Ensemble as well as the drumline of the Auburn University Marching Band.

    An active clinician and performing artist, Dr. Rosener has presented clinics, masterclasses, and performed for high schools, universities, and professional organizations throughout the United States as well as Ireland, Italy, China, and Scandanavia. He has performed in the percussion sections of numerous orchestras and as the drummer for musical theater companies in Colorado and Alabama. His self-produced marimba CD “Variations” was released by Centaur records in 2018.

    Dr. Rosener holds degrees from the University of Colorado in Boulder (DMA), the University of North Texas (MM), and Penn State University (BS). He has published several original concert percussion ensembles, indoor marching percussion shows, and concert percussion ensemble arrangements which are regularly performed by ensembles all over the world. Dr. Rosener is an Artist/Clinician for Vic Firth sticks and mallets, Remo heads, and Sabian cymbals.
