Popp, Harold
Harold Popp earned his B.M.E. and M.H.L. from Ottawa University; his M.M.E. from Indiana University; and his M.F.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Iowa. Dr. Popp taught in public schools of Kansas and Iowa. Positions he has held are Coordinator of Academic Music Studies, Eastern New Mexico University; Chair, Division of Arts and Humanities, Ottawa University; Chair, Music Department, University of South Dakota; Assistant Dean, College of Music, University of Lowell; Acting Associate Dean, School of Music, Florida State University. He is also a professional trombonist, playing with organizations such as Kansas City Philharmonic, Opera and Ballet; South Dakota Symphony; New England Symphony and Brass Quintet; Tallahassee Symphony. He currently teaches at Wichita State University.
