Melton, Andrew
Andrew Melton grew up overseas in Riyadh and Tokyo while his parents were international school teachers. At Berklee College of Music he studied film scoring with an emphasis on the vibraphone. After college he moved to Los Angeles where he juggled film scoring, band composing and arranging, and playing piano in improv comedy theaters.
A graduate of USC’s film scoring program, Andrew then focused on international teaching, spending two years at the American School of Marrakech, Morocco, then three years in Lima, Peru, and five years at Shanghai American School.
He now lived in Kobe, Japan where he teaches band and choir at Canadian Academy. His compositions are published by CL Barnhouse, Grand Mesa, Manhattan Beach and C. Alan Publications.
