Ed Kimbrough is Band Director at Northern Guilford High School in Greensboro, North Carolina. He received his BS in Music Education cum laude from Elon College in 1985 and his MME from the Indiana University School of Music in 1992 where he studied with Ray Cramer and Stephen Pratt. He taught previously at Page High School in Greensboro, NC; Morehead High School and Holmes Middle School in Eden, NC; and at Northern and Southern Junior High Schools in Roxboro, NC.

Mr. Kimbrough has received numerous awards for his teaching, including the Award of Excellence from the North Carolina Bandmasters Association, Teacher of the Year at Page High School, and the Outstanding Young Educator Award for the Person County Schools. He has also been listed in the Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers, was accepted in to the American School Band Directors and is a National Board Certified Teacher. “On the Greenway” is Kimbrough’s first composition for concert band.
