Juliani, Steven
Steven Juliani (b. 1960) started composing music in 2016 after a long career as a professional horn player and music copyist in Los Angeles.
Juliani’s music has been performed by the “President’s Own” United States Marine Band and by members of the Minnesota Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony, Cleveland Orchestra, San Francisco Opera Orchestra, Kennedy Center Opera Orchestra and the National Symphony Orchestra.
His music has also been performed by the UNLV Wind Orchestra, Eastman Horn Choir, Sheffield Chamber Players, Atlantic Brass Quintet, Modern Brass Quintet, Adelaide Horn Jam, Twin Cities Horn Club and at the Mostly Modern Festival.
An album of his music for brass, Coruscate, was released in September of 2019.
Juliani owns Juliani Music Preparation, a business that has worked on hundreds of motion pictures including The Notebook, Ride Along and Strays. His work has resulted in collaborations with among others - Clint Eastwood, Rod Stewart, Burt Bacharach, Adam Sandler, Quincy Jones, Michael Jackson and Barbra Streisand.
Juliani was a 2019 fellow in the Gabriela Lena Frank Creative Academy of Music and is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music (BM), the University of Southern California (MM) and Southwestern Law School (JD).
Juliani was a criminal defense attorney in San Rafael, California, where he lives now.
