Fritz, Parker
Parker Fritz is currently an undergraduate music student at Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. He is completing a Bachelor of Music Education degree with emphasis in saxophone performance and composition. Growing up in west Michigan, Parker found an interest in music performance, composition, and education. His primary instruments are saxophone and piano. Parker is currently studying saxophone with John Nichol, and has previously studied with Tiffany Engle at Calvin College. He has also studied composition with Jay Batzner and David Gillingham. Parker has played with Central Michigan University’s Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Wind Symphony, the Central Michigan University Marching Band, Jazz Central, Kavazabava, and the Central Wails Saxophone Orchestra. He plays soprano saxophone in the Zenith Saxophone Quartet, a competitive chamber music ensemble comprised of students and friends from Central Michigan University.
