Tim Forline is a composer, accomplished musician, and dynamic music educator. Originally from Bethesda, Maryland, Forline received his Bachelor of Arts in Percussion Performance and Master’s degree in Music Education from Coastal Carolina University. He currently serves as a full-time music educator at Waccamaw Middle School in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. His duties include directing two choirs, instructing a steel pan ensemble, and assisting the high school marching band.

Forline started his music career as a singer and drummer for a local band in Maryland. His love for rock-and-roll soon transitioned to a passion for the art of percussion. Through his chamber and solo pieces for keyboard and battery percussion, Forline explores the range of possibilities in percussive techniques and performance. He endeavors to be a trailblazer for future percussive, choral, and orchestral literature.
