Emch, Jacob
Jacob Emch enrolled in the undergraduate studies at the University of Indianapolis in 2009. Emch began his musicial life as a percussionist, specifically a drummer, at age 7. He then picked up the trombone in middle school band, and doubled as a percussion and trombonist throughout high school. In early high school, he started his studies on piano. Jacob is currently a piano major with a concentration in composition. He is a percussionist with the university’s primary band, the symphonic wind ensemble, and first trombone in the orchestra. Emch has played in Europe with the symphonic wind ensemble as pianist and percussionist at the University of Bologna and Bad Hall in Austria.
