Cahill, Nathan
Nathan Cahill began his professional career as a English and Performing Arts teacher in various High Schools within the Queensland Department of Education, before switching to be a Primary School classroom Music teacher. During this time he completed his Bachelor of Music (Composition), becoming one of the highest graded students in the Central Queensland University.
During this time, Mr Cahill composed works for many different ensemble types, with works being used for exam pieces as well as for performance at Carols by Candlelight productions. In 2011 he was the sole recipient of the inaugural Bundaberg Regional Council “Boost Mentorship Grant” for local artists. Mr Cahill particularly enjoys writing for Concert and Brass Bands, as well as for the Ukulele Bands in his Bundaberg schools.
