Bobrowitz, David
David Bobrowitz received a Bachelor of Science degree from the Mannes College of Music in New York City, majoring in Trombone Performance under Simon Karasick. He went on to Teachers College, Columbia University, where he earned a Masters Degree in Music Education. He studied composition and arranging independently under the tutelage of Robert Russell Bennett.
Mr. Bobrowitz worked as a bass trombonist, pianist, composer and arranger in the New York area for more than 30 years. He retired from a prestigious Long Island school system in June of 2000, and now resides in Midlothian, Virginia. He has published works for band, string orchestra, orchestra, and chorus, and has amassed over 100 publications.
