Terry L. Baldridge is currently a professor of music at MidAmerica Nazarene University (MNU) in Olathe, Kansas, where he has taught since 1982. He has earned degrees in music education, ethnomusicology, and he holds a Ph.D. in musicology from the University of Kansas. He has spent time in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala; Veracruz, Mexico; and Cozumel, Mexico, studying marimba building, playing techniques, and the traditional music literature of the instrument.
