Adams, Franklin D.
With over 20 years of experience as a music educator in both the public school and parochial school settings, Franklin Adams holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from Anderson University where he was named to the National Dean's List, was inducted into the Pi Kappa Lambda Music Honors Society, and served as an arranger for the Anderson University Wind Ensemble. He has also taken Graduate level coursework in the areas of band instrument repair and music technology at Kent State University and Baldwin-Wallace College.
Franklin is a co-founder, administrator, and teacher for the non-profit organization MusicAlliance Inc., which provides band programs for schools in northeast Ohio. In addition to serving as band director at several schools for MusicAlliance, Adams also serves as the organization's Honor Band Program Coordinator and is a co-director and conductor of the MusicAlliance honor bands.
Prior to his involvement with MusicAlliance, Franklin spent the first 4 years of his teaching career as a public school band and general music teacher and then served for 11 years as an elementary and junior high parochial school band director in northeast Ohio with Musical Youth, Inc. He was honored with numerous awards while with Musical Youth, including the Principal's Commendation Award, Low Drop Award, Highest Band Enrollment Percentage Award, and the Positive and Professional Teacher of the Year awards.
